The University of West 樱桃直播app STEM Scholars Program, in the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering, has been named a recipient of the Insight Into Diversity magazine 2024 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award. The Inspiring Programs in STEM Award honors colleges and universities that encourage and assist students from underrepresented groups to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, known as STEM.

The University of West 樱桃直播app displayed a strong performance in metrics measuring retention, median wages upon graduation and high-impact practices in the 樱桃直播app Board of Governors鈥� 2023-24 performance-based funding model. The results, announced at a Board of Governors meeting today, showed UWF earned some of its highest marks in University history and landed in the top three in three metrics among all 樱桃直播app State University System metric-participating institutions.

Today, the University of West 樱桃直播app celebrated the planting of a 鈥淢oon Tree鈥� seedling that flew around the moon on NASA鈥檚 Artemis 1 mission in 2022. UWF was selected from hundreds of organizations that applied to receive a seedling. UWF President Martha D. Saunders unveiled the loblolly pine during a ceremony at the north lawn of the Hal Marcus College of Science and Engineering on UWF鈥檚 Pensacola campus.
